Blossom Greetings

Good Afternoon!

It's a gorgeous Carolina day and spring is blooming all around central North Carolina.

I have a couple cards today to share.

I've been wanting to play in the Twofer Card Challenge and this blossom die gave me that opportunity to create two Blossom greetings.

I used a new die, Peony In Bloom, by Catherine Pooler.  I also did the watercolor technique from CAS Mixup this month with the die.  I used the positive of the die on watercolor paper, leaving all the pieces inside it using stick it paper on the back.  Then, I used my Zig pens and colored the die, spritzed it with water as well as another piece of watercolor cardstock to create a background (smaller card).

After getting the look I wanted, I peeled off the top negative of the die and adhered two more blossom dies to the bottom of it to use on the small watercolored background card.  I die cut two more white blossom panels to adhere to the top of the positive pieces of my colored blossom and then added Glossy Accents to all of the petals and leaves for a stainedglass effect.

I cut down the watercolored background to a square, adhered the watercolored die cut and trimmed the excess.  I die cut a square frame using two square dies, to frame around the blossom.  I also die cut a banner label die and stamped the sentiment from One Liners Sentiment set by CP Designs.

On the stainedglass card, I took some lavender cardstock and stamped a script background (Hero Arts)on it  in Serenade ink by Catherine Pooler.  The sentiment is from the CP Designs Happy Birthday Many Ways stamp set.

I love how both cards came out although I believe the "stained glass" one is my favorite.  I had to make it a birthday card for a special person.

For Following Challenges:

NBUS Schtuff: Peony Die Plate, One Line Sentiments (Card 1), Background script stamp (card 2).

Hi Nance. You've created a wonderful blossom twofer. I like the stamping with the die on your first card. Stained glass technique on the second card is done perfectly. Thank you for joining us at TCC #36. Hugs, Sonja
