It's time for another challenge
at

This week is our Christmas Inspiration Challenge!

There's a lot of goodies packed in that photo!

Our 4th week of the month
is now
Christmas card challenge
to help get your
Christmas cards done throughout the year!

Check out the Design Team's festive projects:

Amy from Stamp with Amy K
Leigh from To The Full

I broke out some new Christmas supplies I got last Christmas and hadn't used.  The car image is Ellen Hutson.  I believe the sentiment die is Lawn Fawn and the tree border may be Avery Elle.  I have to recheck.  I used Heidi Swapp mixed media paste on the watercolored sky.

We hope you will come play along with us this week and show us your Christmas cards inspired by our inspiration photo!  You might be our next Guest Designer!

Happy Thoughts, Warm Hugs

Good evening again!

I've had this card sitting on my table for about a week. Just haven't had the time to get it posted until tonight.  I made it for the CAS Mix UP.  This month the challenge is stamping, ghosting and your choice.  I chose marbling and I guess die cuts for my extras.  I missed the marbling challenge last month. I used butterfly stamps from Butterfly Notes by Catherine Pooler and the sentiment is from Lovely Greetings by Cas-ual Fridays, made exclusively for the Stamp of Approval Lovely Notes Collection.  I used the water stamping technique with the butterflies.  The stitched rectangle is Lil' Inkers Designs and the stitched tag is Poppy Stamps.

My  card --

I'm so glad to have been able to get back in my craft room this week.  Last week was just horrible, horrible, horrible!

It started out all fine and dandy, I got some crafting done and then everything took a nosedive!  First, my hubs, an ER nurse and no stranger to difficult/violent patients had a not so good experience of that nature last week, which resulted in him having to once again undergo medical testing to ensure he did not contract anything from the patient.  Thankfully, yesterday in fact, he got the "all's good".   Two days later, he got sick (unrelated).

And THEN there was Hurricane Matthew.... barreling all the way up the Atlantic and hitting central NC very hard. I was more worried about my mom and brother/family in Conway (beside Myrtle Beach) and we prepared for them to evacuate to our house (they stayed home and were fine minus losing some trees and losing power for half a day).  We also wound up fine as well, after 6-7 hours of no power and just a lot of tree branches and leaves everywhere.  We were spared the devastation that hit just 40-70 miles east and south of us, and of course in Haiti.  So in the aftermath of the storm, even as stressful as our week was, it really pales in comparison.

FOR FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

I used the sketch and theme from Stamplorations for my card.

October is a special month around my house.

It's the month my hubs and I started dating waaaay back in 1986 - (Oct 20)!  It's my daughter-inlaw's birthday (Oct 8th), my brother and sisinlaw's anniversary (Oct 11) AND it just happens to be my birthday month also (Oct. 23rd).  If that wasn't enough, I share my birthday with my high school best friend, her twin and another childhood friend of ours, and the sister of another childhood friend.  I know, WOW!

Now, some of those dates are not on my planner.  When I worked on my planner and photographed it, I was pre-occupied with the impending storm of Hurricane Matthew, mostly worrying about my mom and brother in Myrtle Beach, SC and not sure if they were going to evacuate to my house. Then, they decided to stay put and of course it hit just as hard or harder here in central NC.   So, I didn't catch that until today.  Then again, I really don't need a reminder for the anniversary date of my hubs and me dating, nor of my brother's anniversary, so it's all good!

Grateful...Thankful...Blessed

One more card for the night...

Getting into the fall mode, or at least trying, as much as one can when it's still 80 degrees outside.  I used a new stamp set from SugarPea Designs, Fall Fox along with the Tree Borders die from Lawn Fawn and patterned paper from Lawn Fawn.  I colored the fox and leaves with Copics. I masked the fox and leaves first then after coloring cut them out together as one image.

Thankful Blessings!

Thankful Acorns

On a roll today with the cards.  It's been a while since I got to just sit down and play with some new stuff!

I used the colors from Color Throwdown this week to make a very colorful, non-traditional fall card.

SPIES:  Acorn Stamps/Dies from Reverse Confetti; Patterned Paper from Lawn Fawn; Impression Plate from Taylored Expressions;  Ink from Memento.

For Following Challenges:

Thankful Blessings!

Believe it or not, I've been stamping again today!

This card is for The Card Concept.  I'd say it is probably Layered and Graphic.

Eyeballin' Halloween - The Challenge #80

Happy World Card Making Day!

What better way to celebrate than to play along with the new challenge at The Challenge!

See what we, the Design Team has done with this week's sketch challenge for more inspiration!

Nance Salkeld (You are HERE)
Since it's October, I made a Halloween card.  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.  I love seeing all the kids trick-or-treating and dressed up and then of course, there's all that candy! LOL

I bought some new fall stamps recently and I bought the Jar Haunts set from Stampin' Up too.  I love the eyeball stamp you can stamp inside the jar.  It's just so icky and fun! It reminds me of the haunted houses our youth group created when I was a kid.  Of course, the eyeballs in jars then were really grapes with gooey syrup on them.  Now my hauntings are a little less sticky and in the form of home decor.

Haunting Challenge Blessings!
