4CC#331-Crazy Egg Anything Goes!

Happy Thursday!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

It's almost time for New Year's now.

However, first today there is a new challenge at
4 Crafty Chicks!

It's the 5th Thursday of December, which means ---

I've still been in Christmas mode so I have another Christmas card to share

STAMPS: Reindeer from Believe In Magic (Mama Elephant).
PAPER: White cardstock;  white glitter paper.
INK: Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberries, Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet (Ranger Distress Ink); Night of Navy (Stampin'Up)
EXTRAS: NYC border die (MyFavorite Things); Believe word die (Ellen Hutson); Star die (Catherine Pooler); circle die (Spellbinders).

I sponged the background over a masked moon.  Then adhered an NYC border cutout in white glitter paper as well as the stars and stamped the reindeer, "tying" them together with a black reign of black sharpie.  The sentiment was cut out of sponged cardstock like background.

Go to the 4 Crafty Chicks and check out the rest of the Chicks' wonderful projects, they won't disappoint!  And then play along with us, you might be the winner of the Crazy Egg badge!

4CC #330 - New Year's Resolutions

Wow, can you believe it's just 3 days until Christmas!

Where did this year go?  It flew by way too fast!

It's also Thursday
and time for a new challenge
at

Lori is our hostess this week.
She has chosen the theme ---

What does New Years Resolutions inspire in you?
New endeavors?  Get rid of bad habits?
Show us what it means to you.

For me, one of my resolutions is to become more creative.

My creativity has taken a backseat the past couple years to family obligations(not complaining, family is first) and now that things have quieted down, I purchased a boat load of new supplies, ending my year on a new design team and so I want to spend more time in my craft room creating.

So I thought I'd start off the new year (almost) in stretching my color creativity in a sense.

STAMPS: Sentiments (Reverse Confetti).
PAPER: White and Black cardstock.
INK: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Twist, Real Red, Perfect Plum, Dapper Denim, Tempting Turquoise, Emerald Envy, Pear Pizza (Stampin'Up); Spun Sugar (RangerInks); White emboss powder (Wow).
EXTRAS:  Stitched oval die (LilInkersDesigns), sequins.

Stop by the Hen house and check out the rest of the teams fabulous projects.  We hope you'll join us and link up your own "New Years Resolution" projects!

NeonPinkXmas

Happy Tuesday!

Well, I guess Tuesday is almost finished.

Posting a card I almost forgot to post ---

I made a card with the "negative" of the scribble tree card I previously posted.  It looked too cool not to use.  And, the colors and subject went well with the challenge at The Heart Desires.

Xmas Scribble

Happy Monday!

Trying to share some cards today.

The first one was inspired by Tracey's card at the Muse Card Challenge this week.  The thin lined butterfly die made me think of the Tim Holtz scribbled Christmas tree die I have.  I cut it out of pink watercolored paper I had made a while back. The star is from the same set of dies and cut from homemade green marbled background paper I had leftover.  I used a painted word die from Ellen Hutson for my sentiment. I glued them on a curved stitched rectangle die from Lil' Inkers Designs adhered to plaid pattern paper by My Favorite Things.

4CC #329 - Distress

Happy Thursday!

It's time for a new challenge at
4 Crafty Chicks!

Tamie is our hostess today and she wants to see
Distress!

Distress can be distressing paper, making it rough and uneven along the edges or by inking around the edges of paper to make it look old or worn.

STAMPS: Sentiment (Stamplorations); holly (Paper Sweeties).
PAPER: Cream card base; Patterned Paper (Stash).
INK: Black Tuxedo (Memento). Tea Dye distress ink (Tim Holz); Copics.
EXTRAS: Teapot die (Paper Sweeties); Doily (Lifestyle Crafts); Rectangle dies (Lil Inkers Designs); Bow (Lil' Inkers Designs); Holly die (Paper Sweeties); Paper distresser (Tim Holz); Red gems.

I decided to make a vintage type Christmas card for my DT card assignment of distressing.  I distressed the edges of the patterned papers and also inked up the edges with Tea Dye for inky distress.

I also wanted to FINALLY play in the Coffee Lovers Winter Blog Hop again.  I've missed the last several.  Something always seems to be going on. So now's my chance.

FOR FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:

Now hop over to the Hen house and check out my teamies' projects and link up your own project showcasing "Distressing"!

4CC #328 - No Pattern Paper

Happy Thursday!

Today there is a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and I am your hostess for the week!  Wahoo!

I'm looking for projects --- any kind of paper crafty project, BUT, you can't use any manufactured pattern paper.

STAMPS: None.
PAPER: White, Kraft and Wax Lips Red (Bazzill)cardstock
INK: None
EXTRAS: Nordic emboss folder (Taylored Expressions); Stocking & Sentiment die (Stampin' Up); holly die (Memory Box); Rectangle stitched die (Lil Inker's Designs).

As you see, I used an embossing folder to create a background pattern.  I loved these adorable stocking dies from Stampin' Up and thought they went along so well with the Nordic emboss folder I used.

Go check out the rest of the Chicks' projects for more amazing inspiration without pattern paper.  Then, come play along and share your non-patterned paper projects.  We love having you play along!

Poinsettia Greetings

Sharing another card today ----

I have been wanting to use this gorgeous leaf cutting plate I bought from Reverse Confetti, and playing around with it, I paired it with a poinsettia die by Spellbinders.  I love how it turned out!

I used glitter paper to cut out the poinsettia and the pink berry twigs.  I stamped the sentiment in Pink Pirouette ink. The picture doesn't do it justice as the flower really shimmers.
