Best Ever In The World - The Challenge #62

Happy Leap Day!
Today is Monday, February 29th!

And....
it's time for another challenge at

This week is our
Masculine Inspiration Challenge!

Lots of good manly inspiration in that photo!

This past Saturday was my oldest son's 24th birthday. He has a history degree and is in grad school for his Master's in History and eventually a PhD so he can teach history at the college level.  So I thought the card I created for his birthday was perfect for him and this challenge...
I used the globe die from Reverse Confetti, the stitched mat and arrow dies from MFT and party banner is Paper Sweeties. The sentiment is by Stamplorations. The "Son" alphas I don't remember.  My background paper I've had in my stash for 13 years!  The tiny heart is from a small die from Technique Tuesday.  So, I've used a plethora of products!  LOL  The background paper I got it in Orlando, when we lived there, for scrapbook pics (I still have to build that layout).  Don't worry, I have more of the same paper to do my layout.  I'm a horrible memory documenter I'm afraid, many of my photos are still in photo boxes.

Sporting Birthday Wishes

Friday is our son, Patrick's 24th Birthday!

I'm sharing his card I made him for my mom to give him.  Don't worry, he received it Monday and already opened it!  LOL  Kids!  Some things don't change!

I used the embossing folder/paint technique that Happy Little Stampers has had for their monthly challenge this month and used Night of Navy.  I was trying to emulate the LA Galaxy MLS soccer team's jersey for the jersey, but had to modify it some.  Even though it didn't come off as I had hoped, my son recognized the similarities!

Birthday Blessings to my Patrick!

Paper Sweeties February 2016 Release Party!

Happy Monday!

Today is the DAY---

Today's card uses nothing but the new release stamps/dies, Thinking of You.  I stamped the flower image repeatedly, colored them with Copics and cut them out using the coordinating Thinking of You Sweet Cuts die.  I created my own partial background with all those pretty pink petals and using one to go along with the sentiment label.  I used the label stamp, stamped and cut it with the Thinking of You Sweet Cuts label die. Then, I took some pink distress ink and swiped it over the middle of the label with a wet brush.  Then, I inked up the sentiment on top.  I added some leaves to my label flower also.  Again, I used soft, pastel colors.  I just think for comfort/sympathy/thinking of you cards, soft, pastel colors add a sense of comfort.

Now, check out the rest of the design team's Release Party projects --- they are all fabulous!

Paper Sweeties February 2016 Release Countdown!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you enjoy a day full of love and blessings
from your friends and family!

It's Release Countdown Day

Here's my Release Countdown card ---

For today's card, I used the other pretty flower stamp in the Thinking of You set.  I inked it in a light grey and stamped it on a pink heart I cut from the With Love Sweet Cuts die, I used just the inner heart.  Since I made this a sympathy card, I wanted to keep it soft again and also clean and simple.  I stamped the sentiment, also from Thinking of you onto a vellum banner die from the Sweet Cuts           .  I also cut a light blue banner from the same sweet cuts to add some contrasting color.

Stop by my teamies' blogs and check out their Countdown projects too!  Leave them some blog lovin'!

Sending Love

One more card for tonight ---

I made my box from the Neat & Tangled box die.  I used pink, dark pink and red watercolors and smooshed them around on watercolor paper.  Then I spritzed it with gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine spray mist.  I stamped the Neat & Tangled floating hearts stamp at the top of my card base in gold metallic ink.  After fitting the box together and adding some pink tissue paper, I cut two different sizes of tiny gold hearts and glued around to add more floating hearts to the stamped ones.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment on the bottom.

I leave it to your own interpretation as to whether the hearts are falling into the box or floating out!

I'm entering this into the Little Tangles challenge and JUGS challenge.

Happy Valentines Day!

Boy, I'm on a roll with my Valentines tonight!  I played the Muse Challenge finally again!  Had to play since Michele Ferguson is a former teamie of mine and she is such a talented lady and always leaves me in awe of her cards!

So here is Michele's card, the Muse card this week ---

And here is my card ---

My card base is a dark pink color and the hearts are of course red.

Happy{heart}Day

So the Panthers aren't doing so well in the Superbowl, so I'm continuing my posts...

My third and final card for Global Projects...

Sentiment dies are from Serendipity Stamps. I actually used leftovers from a card I made for the current Muse challenge where I cut the words out of pink paper and used the negative for the other card.  The wisteria heart is Spellbinders and the small heart is Paper Sweeties. I slipped them under a wonky stitched frame (MFT) and added some enamel dots.  Sweet and simple!

I also am submitting this into the AAA Cards "love me like you do" challenge also.

Inky Valentines

Another card for Global Design and Happy Little Stampers --

Again I used Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder, and Bermuda Bay inks, inking up an Anna Griffin emboss folder on the raised side then placing white cardstock down and rubbing in the ink without embossing it.

The sentiment is from Serendipity Stamps and it is melon also, just looks red in my photo.  It is a leftover from making another card using the negative of the die.  The scallop doily heart is from Paper Sweeties.
