4CC #335 Watercolor

Good Morning Crafty Chickies!

It's Thursday!

You know what that means ---

a new challenge at

Lori is our hostess today
and her theme is ---

This is one of my very favorite mediums and techniques I like to use on my cards.  It's so forgiving and no two creations are ever the same.
STAMPS: Sentiment - Sending Happy Thoughts (Simon Says)
PAPER: Water color paper; Raspberry cardstock; white cardstock.
INK: Black Onyx (Versafine); Picked Raspberry & Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink (Tim Holtz).
EXTRAS: Poststamp die (Simon Says); Heart swoosh die (Poppy Stamps); Small heart/arrow (Technique Tuesday).

I used distressed ink with some bleach water to make my watercolor background. I cut the heart swoosh into the background paper and then cut it again out of white cardstock and inlaid it between the cut layers.  The small heart is a different die adhered to the pink heart.  I tried to keep the card clean and a little graphic to showcase the watercolor background.

Go check out my teamies' beautiful beautiful projects at the Hen House and leave them some blog love!  Come join us and share your watercolor cards!

This is a beautiful watercolor background, Nance! Love those colors! And the inlaid die is perfect to not detract from the background! It's amazing how the 2 heart dies work together!
