CIC #564 - Bees Reminder

Happy Monday!  

Wasn't spring coming? I thought it was but, yesterday it was snowing in central NC!  Not a lot but still, obviously it was cold enough for it for a bit.  March is always a fickle month, weather wise.  Talk about your "march madness"!  hahahaha

Today begins our 2nd week of our Bee theme challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations.  Here is another card I created for this week...

I also cased a card from one of Whimsy Stamps' Designers card using one of the Revealers dies that I have and used for this card. I love how the card came out with the Pixel images.  I chose colors of Copics to color the images that matched my background paper (Catherine Pooler Designs).

Sending Rays of Hugs

Hello Tuesday evening!

My week has not begun as I had hoped/planned.  I made this card on Sunday before everything began spiraling downhill.  I was finally getting a little more creative mojo flowing. Isn't that how it always goes?  

I was suppose to be at work Monday and take the dog to rehab after and instead, I spent that morning at my doc's office getting diagnosed with a bladder/kidney infection. NOT convenient! lol. Since then, I've been mostly sleeping due to the antibiotic and pain meds.  However, this evening I did manage to watch a Stamp Nation card class and do this blog post. 

All the stamps and dies are from the February Release, Boho Trends from Catherine Pooler Designs.  Background layer was in my stash - that I had inked with Minted ink by Catherine Pooler.  I stamped it with the Call Me Ray background stamp and embossing ink and embossed in WOW Fine gold embossing powder.  The background of the word die, the Butterfly Buddies, and the middle cardstock layer were from cardstock inked with Deck The Halls dye ink.

I also am finally managing to play in another card challenge - Color Hues.

Hopefully I'll be able to finish up a few more cards I had started later this week.  First, it's back to the doc tomorrow.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #564 - Bees

Hello again!

It's the first Monday in March!  Time is marching on and at least here in the south, the weather is feeling very springy.  And had to pull out my allergy meds since that wonderful greenish-yellow pollen has arrived in North Carolina! 🤧 🌸🍃

Today is a new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations. 

Our theme this fortnight is BEES.  I guess that's pretty fitting for the present conditions here at least with the pollen.  I have seen quite a few bees buzzing around the last few days as the plants begin to bloom again.

We also have a sponsor, Pixel Paper Prints, who has been very generous in giving us the cutest digital images.  My card (above) is using about five different images - the two bees, the adorable honey dripped heart and the heart shaped lines. I created my little scene placing the bees nose to nose on top of the heart.  I colored them with copics and placed them on a patterned paper background.
