Krafty Chicks Challenge #544 - Any Occasion

 Good Morning!

It's Thursday and time for a new challenge at Krafty Chicks.  Lori is our hostess for our last challenge of January.

I made this card for my nephew whose birthday was in December.  Chalk it up to my brain to forget he was ACTUALLY 17 not 16!  LOL. He appreciated it anyway and the giftcard that was inside.

I used a stencil and Catherine Pooler inks to created my background.  The balloon I die cut from some alcohol inked glitter paper I created a while back and cut a 16 from gold foil cardstock.  The number dies are Catherine Pooler and the balloon die is by Lawn Fawn.

Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Team's projects over at the Hen House and also our Guest Designer, Sandy.  It's her last week with us.  Give her some blog love.  It's been a joy having her!

Splattered Thanks

 Hello there!

I have a non DT card for you today.  I've been creating bits and pieces of cards and now getting around to assembling them.  Lately for me, that's a looong process!  Anyway, I'm on the last day to enter for the CAS Mixup Challenge.

Here's my card:

I used some new inks by Catherine Pooler to create a splattered background along with a splatter brush and some water.  Then, I cut die cut the leaves, Catherine Pooler also.  I used the Scallo[s Panel Die  by Waffle Flower (which I won on a Instagram draw from them) to create my back panel.  However,  I off the top and bottom of it after stamping the sentiment in Mardi Gras.  I added a back layer of green cardstock to enhance the green of the leaves.

Krafty Chicks Challenge #543 - CAS (Clean & Simple)

Good Morning!

It's time for a new challenge over at Krafty Chicks!  It's week #3 so that's our CAS (Clean & Simple) Challenge.  AND, our host is our new CHICK, Diane!  YAY!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #543 - CAS (Clean & Simple)

For my card, I made my background a while back using the ink pad swipe technique.  It's so easy and quick to create a colorful background.  The stamp (wreath and sentiment) is by Catherine Pooler Designs.  I stamped it in Midnight and then took a blender pen and used the same Catherine Pooler inks I used for the background to color in the flowers and then used green for the leaves.  Added a few sequins and done!

Check out all my fellow Chicks' projects at the Hen House.  Such talented ladies always have beautiful things.  Then come play along and play with us and support our new Chick in her first challenge!

Krafty Chicks Challenge #541 - Stamp Act

Good Morning and Happy New Year!

It's Thursday, so time for a new challenge at Krafty Chicks Challenge!  As it is also a new year, we have some exciting news!  We have a new Chick! She was introduced last week on the challenge blog but her official start date is today.

Welcome Diane!  YAY!

Diane Lebrun

Diane's Blog is "Ink Outside The Box With Diane"

I decided to create a New Year card for my first card of this year and our challenge.  The sentiments are all from Papertrey Ink.  The party items are by Stamplorations.  They were stamped with Catherine Pooler inks.  The glass and the horn were colored with a gold pencil.

Being a new month, we also have a new Guest Designer with us, my friend, Sandy Gordon.  You can read about her and see her project over at the Hen House and check out the rest of the Chicks' projects.
