Happy Father's Day!

Hope it is a day of rest and relaxation for all the Dads!

THEME:  For The Boys

Photo Inspiration compliments of:  Cupcakes Take the Cake

Here's my card
using 2 stamps (mustache & tie) from
Lawn Fawn's
Dad's Day Stamp Set:

SPIES:
STAMPS: Mustache & Tie- "Dad's Day" (Lawn Fawn); Hat (Inkadinkadoo); Dad Sentiment (Hampton Art).
PAPER: White cardstock; DP - Advenutre (My Mind's Eye).
INK: Morrocco (Memento); Brown Pigment (Hampton Art).
EXTRAS: Stitched Rectangle Mat (Lil Inkers Designs); banner (Reverse Confettie); small pennant banner (My Favorite Things); clear embossing powder; Turquoise enamel dots.

I've had the hat stamps (set of 4) for forever and had in the back of my mind this week to create some kind of nostalgic card using one of them with the tie and mustache.  I had originally stamped them vertically on white cardstock to frame there. Then,  I decided to stamp, emboss and fussy cut them, then pop them up on the card.

Now all was going well putting my card together until I changed up my design, which I did early Saturday morning.  I was trying to hurry to meet my deadline.  And, we all know what happens when we hurry!

Well....I got in my drawer where I keep my emboss powders in small square tupperware containers, looking to see if I had brown and in the process, out flew my clear powder tumbling to the floor upside down and lid flying elsewhere!  I had a medium pile of clear emboss powder clumped on the floor!  Luckily, I had another bottle I had just purchased.  But, since I was in a hurry, I just left the spilt pile on the floor to vacuum up later.

Later was at 10 pm and when I went in to do it, the floor was clean! I texted the Hubs (at his night shift at the ER) to see if he had cleaned it up for me.  Nope.  And I know I hadn't done it.  Next conclusion:  Riley, our 1/2 goat, 1/2 border collie probably wandered in at some point that evening and licked it up!  Only, with the size of the pile, there should have been some dampness still from his licking and it was completely dry.  Let me just say ---- that dog's poop is going to be quite shiny and sparkly!   And, if that's not the case, then we have a ghost who vacuums, which I will welcome wholeheartedly!  Hahahahaha

So, now after that little sidetrack --- Don't forget to stop by the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog and check out all my fellow design team member's projects for this week!  Then, link up your own project inspired by our "For The Guys" theme and share it with us.  We love having you play along!
