4 Crafty Chicks #423 - Something Old Is New Twist

Hello Thursday!

This week is flying by!

It's time for a new challenge with the 4 Crafty Chicks!

Leanne is our hostess and she wants to see us use something old we haven't used for a while.

This week is use something Old and make something New.  So, I pulled out a couple old emboss folders, a really old Sizzix fancy layered die,  a really old sentiment stamp/die set.  I cased a technique from Jennifer McGuire. I love how it turned out. It's really good sometimes to pull out those older, neglected supplies  just may have to pull out some other old things and play some more.

Make sure and visit the Hen House and check out the rest of the Chicks' projects and leave them some blog love too!  Then come play along with us this week.  You have until Wednesday, October 10 at Noon, Mountain time!

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Say It - Hugs (Technique Tuesday)
Paper: White cardstock (Neenah 110 lb Solar White).
Ink: Shea Butter (Catherine Pooler Inks); Soft Granite (Hero Arts Shadow Ink).
Extras: Hugs die (Technique Tuesday - Say It); Juili's Garden Emboss Folder (Cuttlebug); Oxford Emboss Folder (Cuttlebug); Fancy layered die (Sizzix Thinlits); Pearl gems.

This turned out wonderfully, I like seeing the old stuff brought out and making a new card, new techniques. Way to go! Love it!

Love that soft yellow color and how well this technique worked for you. Next time we get together you need to show me how to get the embossing folder inked so evenly. It's a beautiful embossed design and the frame is exceptional! A fantastic card, my friend!

STUNNING card Nance! LOVE your design. It's the soft yellow that made me say WOW out loud. So pretty with the daisies in the fancy shaped frame. Lots of beautiful texture and dimension from your dry embossed background and layering of your main panel. Love, love, love this card! xx

This is stunning! I haven't been stamping too very long, so I didn't know these were vintage supplies. Very impressive! I am off to follow the link to Jennifer Mc Guire. Thanks for the inspiration!
