Poppy Stamps Guest Designer - Gift It!

Hello there!

Happy December!

I have exciting news!

I'm the Guest Designer this month over at Poppy Stamps!  I was so thrilled when Michele Henderson asked me to guest. I love me some Poppy Stamps! 

The theme for this month is Gift It!

I chose to make some tags/ornaments with some wooden chalkboard painted ornaments I've had in my stash and Poppy Stamps dies.

I had such a fun time creating these.  The first one (below) I used a Poppy Stamp poinsettia die that I have had for a while and is one of my favorites.  I also used the new Joy Freestyle Script die, which I really love! I'll be using that a lot from now on! 

The second one (below) I used the new Pine Needle Shoots and made a snowy white wreath and the Joy die cut from some blue foil cardstock I had that I glued on top of two white ones to bump it up on the wreath.  I finished it off with some white pearls here and there and a silver string.

The third and final one (below) and probably my favorite of the trio I made using the new Iced Pine Trees.  These were so much fun to cut and glue together.  I may have cut more than I needed in MANY different colors that will definitely be great for future projects! 😉 On top of the trees I adhered the sentiment, the new Small Freestyle Merry Christmas die, which I cut twice in white and once in that magenta glitter cardstock by Memory Box.

So there you have my three wooden tags/ornaments that were just simply a blast to create!  I want to thank Michele, Jeanne and the entire Poppy Stamps team for having me this month as the Guest Designer.  Thank you!

I'm using the digi stamp, Peppermint Tea by PJ Moore, our sponsor this fortnight.  I used the die set, Scallops & Dots (Catherine Pooler Designs) for my large layers and a photo frame die (My Favorite Things).  The candy pieces are from the stamp/die set, Sweetest Season (Catherine Pooler Designs).  I sparkled the candy with Halo embossing glitter (Wow), as I did the treats in the image.

CIC #557 Owls Reminder

It's another Monday.  

They sure come around fast don't they?

It's also the 2nd week of Cupcake Inspirations current challenge -- 

 Challenge #557 - OWLS

I have had a very chaotic last couple weeks so unfortunately I don't have a new owl card to share this week, just the same one.  

Last week we found out our Lab, Ellie, has a torn ACL and has had to be confined as much as we possibly can manage, which includes having to take her outside on a leash everytime she has to go and sometimes having to carry her down the stairs to get outside.  It's been a  exhausting trying to keep a 60 lb hyper Lab quiet and off her feet! On top of that, our granddog, Jack, arrived last week for a 3 week stay while his human parents are vacationing in Europe part of that time.  We are contemplating calling our place the Salkeld Canine B&B as Jack has been a frequent visitor over the last six months.  LOL. We really do actually love having him here.  The cats, however, may have a differing opinion. 😉

It's Week #2 at Cupcake Inspirations for our color challenge - Hot pink/Black/White. I made a second card for the second week...

A pretty CAS card using cat dies from Newton's Nook, a sentiment and ink from Catherine Pooler Designs.

Hello Monday!

It's time for a new challenge at 

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge - a color challenge!

I made a Halloween card using a wonderful layered moon stencil by Spellbinders inked up in It's A Girl, Be Mine, and Pucker Up ink by Catherine Pooler inks.  I cut Lawn Fawn tree border die from black cardstock along with the Haunted House and bat dies by Spellbinders.  The sentiment (by Papertrey Ink) I cut twice in black and once in Pucker Up.
