4CC#370 - Black, White + Another

Good Morning!

Are you ready for a new challenge at

LORI is our Hostess this week!

She's chosen a fun color scheme for us to use ---

I chose lime green for my extra color to make this Halloween card with "Frank" by Creative Visions.  I can't believe it's almost October, which means Halloween time!  I love Halloween!  I loved it as a kid, in college and then again when my boys were growing up.  I loved helping them create their costumes and carving jack-o-lanterns.  Halloween is the only other holiday I go all out to decorate around the house besides Christmas.  This year we will have a new addition on the porch, "Halloween Minion Dave".  My hubs, Dave, loves Minion Dave and when we were at Home Depot around his birthday last month, I saw it and bought it for him.  He can't wait to put him out on Oct. 1st.

Well, I sure got sidetracked.  Back to my card, the sentiment is part of the Frankenstein set too. I made a mask from him and then I stamped him again on good cardstock, colored him with Spectrum Noir marker, masked and stamped the background.  The bats are dies from Spellbinders and the stitched banner is from Verve Stamps.
Stop by the Hen House and see Leanne's, Tamie's and Lori's projects.  They always have fabulous creations!  And then link up your Black,White, +1 and play along!

Happy Haunting

One more post for the night.  This time for the CAS Watercolor Challenge - Silhouette.

I cut a black silhouette out of the wolf die from Spellbinders.  I traced the circle of it on matting paper to place on watercolor before watercoloring.  I watercolored the background with Stormy Sky, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot Distress Inks.  The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti set, "Treat Yo Self".

Happy Hauntings!

A second card for the CAS Mixup Challenge before the deadline.  I took the positive from the die I cut for the shaker card and made another card ---

Candy Corn Love

Happy Sunday!

It's been a while for me to post more than just team cards.  I've had a chance to get into my craft room this weekend and play around some.  So, thought I'd share some of the results tonight.   I wanted to play in the CAS Mixup Challenge all month and now getting in just in time!

This month's challenge included watercolor wash.  I originally created a wash background using Barn Door Red, Spiced Marmalade, Carved Pumpkin, and Mustard Seed distress inks to create the wash then added some red splatters.  I cut a candy corn die out of the middle to create a shaker.  The candy corn die and the sentiment are both from Impression Obsession stamp and die "Eat Candy Corn".

Paper Sweeties September 2017 New Release Rewind!

Today is the final day of the
Paper Sweeties Release Week!

We've got one more round of inspirational projects to show you!

Paper Sweeties Design Team:

Here is my card for today ---
I wanted to add the cute little puppy that goes along with the Sent from my heart set but my coloring mojo was a no-go yesterday.  I need some serious coloring time.  However, looking at that set with the trio of letters I thought I'd use some of the Paper Sweeties birds.  So I created a little scene where those yellow birds are working together to deliver some letters into the mailbox(in case it's not evident of my intention).

Our Inspirational Challenge is still going on as well, through the end of September!  Come play along with us and maybe be our next winner!

A Crafty Buddy's Buddy

Hello again!

Trying today to get caught up on team projects and other card projects.  However, I wanted to share another addition ---

Yep!  We adopted a 2nd kitten!  Yes, we're nuts!  LOL We figured our little spitfire Bella needed a mate (so she would stop attacking Riley and us). Plus, the County Animal shelter had been inundated with kittens galore and local rescues and local SPCA had adoption marathons to help get them all adopted.  We went to the SPCA as there were a couple there we were very interested in.  We came home with Rory ---

Meet Rorschach (Rory).

It took a good two weeks for Bella to accept Rory as part of our family and about that long for Rory to accept the fact he must share a home with Riley, our dog! LOL Poor little guy had to contend with recovering from surgery, a new home, new siblings(one not even same species) all at once.

As you can see they now are good buddies and all is well. Rory even tolerates Riley and Riley tolerates both of them. Now if we can hold Bella off from prematurely going into heat before her spay appointment, it will be even better! She's not yet 5 months and she was underweight until just this week so we had to wait.  Thank goodness Rory received his surgery before coming home with us.  We definitely don't need any other little ones pitter pattering around!  hahaha

Yes, he gets up on my craft table and stretches out like he owns it!
If anything they will help me be more diligent in keeping my craft room clean so there won't be any inky or painted paws!

Paper Sweeties September 2017 New Release Party!

TGIF
and
It's RELEASE DAY
at
Paper Sweeties!

September Release Products are now available in the shop!  Woohoo!

Now check out all the Design Team's super fun projects:

This week has not been a good week.  First was Irma and thankfully we only got some heavy rain and a little wind on Tuesday.  Nothing like what so many others are dealing with and so can't complain about that.  We also received heartbreaking news that my cousin's young wife passed away unexpectedly.  They have three boys, ages 6 and under.  Many prayers would be greatly appreciated.  It's very devastating for them.

I have caught some kind of stomach bug and dealing with that for the past four days. Then, our kitten, Bella, is exhibiting signs of going into heat early. Hopefully it won't become full blown in the next ten days as that's how far away her spaying visit is.

If you went looking for my Sneak Peeks post yesterday, unfortunately it didn't get posted mostly due to my stomach bug thing.

So, now that today's is a little late, I'm sharing both days' cards here since it's Release Day!

For both cards I used the Happy Mail Stamps and Happy Mail Sweet Cuts.  In the card below I also used the Scallop Oval Sweet Cuts and the Happy die from the Happy Sweet Cuts.

I am entering the above "Happy 'Snail' Mail" card in the
Following Challenges:

Be sure and stop back by tomorrow for our Release Rewind.  I WILL have another post for it.  Don't forget our Inspirational Challenge is still going on as well, through the end of September!  Come play along with us and maybe be our next winner!

4CC#368 Geometric

Hello again.

It's time for a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I'm hosting this week and the theme is

4CC #368 Geometric

What's geometric?

I found this definition:  "Geometric Figure. Any point, line, segment, ray, angle, polygon, curve, region, plane, surface, solid, etc. Formally, a geometric figure is any set of points on a plane or in space."

So there you go.  LOL .

Here's what my result was ---
I used Catherine Pooler stamps, inks, and stencil along with some Distress Oxide inks and a scallop circle die from Paper Sweeties.

Hop on over to the Hen House and check out Leanne's, Tamie's and Lori's geometric projects.  Then, show us what you've got and play along with us this week!

4 Crafty Chicks #367- Inspirataional Photo

It's Thursday already!

I've lost track of days with the holiday this week.  I keep thinking it's a day earlier than it is.

Since it is Thursday, it's time for a new challenge at
4 Crafty Chicks!

Leanne is our hostess this week and she has chosen this sweet photo for an inspirational challenge ---
4CC #367 - Inspirational Photo
My project started one way and wound up another with caramel apples.  I used the apple die from Paper Sweeties' Homegrown set and cut apples out of patterned paper and cardstock.  I cut my "caramel" out of gold mirror paper from the gooey slime die cut from Your Next Stamp.  I wanted to use some kind of basket weave so I cut a piece of basket weave embossed paper to use as a background behind the apples.

Go to the Hen House and check out Leanne's, Tamie's and Lori's projects!

Then use our inspirational photo to create a project and link it up to our Inlinkz and play along with us this week!
