Is it Thursday again already?
Well, then, it's time for another challenge
at
4 Crafty Chicks!
This week our hostess is Amy!
She is looking for charms for the twist.
I made two cards this week unintentionally at first. After I made the one on the right, I decided to take the negative of the sentiment and make a card with it as well. It actually all began with the background of the second card. I had made it a while back out of alcohol inks and then embossed it. I thought the sentiment "hugs" would look nice cut out of it.
I wanted to use a new background stamp (mesh), above, from My Favorite Things. I think it complimented the textured word die well. I added a little more interest by adding a gold shadow behind the letters. The heart charm is actually an old necklace charm I've had for years. So this will go to someone special as a token from my heart. Ok, that sounds cheesier than it did in my head. lol
After I finished the card above, I kept looking at the negative from the sentiment die and a left over piece of a first stamp attempt of the background mesh stamp and decided to make another card. I thought the rose charm went perfectly with the background.
Now go check out the rest of the chicks' "charming" projects at the Hen House! They're fabulous!
Come play with us this week. Choose this week's twist, "Charmed Life" or choose our neverending "anything goes", it's your choice. Of course to be considered as a Chick's Pick you need to play in the twist. Still it's all for fun and we love seeing your projects regardless.

The embossed alcohol ink background is amazing and so is the die cut! Two beautiful cards, Nance!
wow, great background and cards--saw on IG and had to enter the challenge!
Two beautiful cards Nance. Great to be able to use up the cut-out pieces to create the second card. The alcohol ink panel with dry embossing is gorgeous. And I love it paired with the soft pink mesh stamping. The gold charms are so sweet! xx
Sweet cards friend, I like the colors and the cut letters pop, way to go, nice charms ;)
Both of these are super sweet Nance!! Love the way you attached the charms too! Hugs :-)
