Flutterby -- Flashback Friday Challenge #23

Wow. I've been out of the cyber world for 3-1/2 weeks.  Time sure flies especially at this time of the year when spring has sprung and there is so much to do to dust off the winter cobwebs.  I really didn't realize it had been so long since I posted here.   During that time, I produced some small plants for a summer vegee garden, still working on my family room redo and most of all, my son, Ben, has returned home after completing his first year at college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He's been home for exactly 12 days and it's like he was never gone....especially if you dare peer inside his room!  LOL  His 'stuff' literally multiplied as it now takes over not just his room, but our 2 spare bedrooms as well!  Yet, dirty laundry and messy room aside, I am glad to have him home for the next few months.  And, if he can't find a summer job, he will have the joy of being my personal gardener/painter.  That should get him a job QUICK!

So now that you know why I have been absent, I'm just in time before the close of the most recent challenge, Challenge 23, at Flashback Friday.  I had the honor to help with the previous challenge and had a great time!  It would have been horrible had I missed out on the current challenge so here it is.

This challenge, chosen by the winner of Challenge 22, Janice, is to showcase your first card using a butterfly or butterflies.  My original post is here.  I actually entered this card into a challenge at Ann's Creative Nook, Challenge #80 back in March 2010 and WON!  It was my 2nd or 3rd challenge win.  The challenge then was a white on white card.

When I was a kid, I used to draw a picture of a funny looking cartoon guy with a big nose peering over a fence.  So, I fashioned this card after that idea, making just the top half of the bunny head and then his big ears.  The butterfly on the card was made with a punch from EK Success with a clear gem in the middle.

So, if you haven't played at Flashback Friday, hop on over and give it a try.  It's a fun challenge showcasing cards you have made in the past. It is also a blog hop so you get to meet previous Flashback winners and everyone gets to venture down memory lane, stamping style.  See you there!
