The Challenge #57-Love This

Good Morning, Monday!

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr Day!

It's a very chilly day here in central NC so it's a great day to cozy up with a hot beverage and get crafty!

So what better way than to play the newest challenge at
The Challenge!

This week is an inspiration photo to beckon that crafty mojo!

Is that not just gorgeous?

It reminded me of a card I made a long time ago.  So I decided to use the photo and also kind of case my old card:

Today's card --
I started out making my own background sprinkling some Twinkling H20 watercolor paints onto paper.  Then, using the script stamp from the same set as the roses and sentiment from Fiskars, I stamped in taupe randomly.  The roses I stamped in Versamark, embossed with white emboss powder, then colored them in with my Twinkling H20 watercolor paints.  I love the shimmer those paints give off when they dry!  Then I fussy cut them all and placed them on top of half of a doily die cut out.  My final touch was some tulle, a burlap heart from Paper Sweeties and the popped up sentiment.

Now, check out the rest of The Challenge Design Team's gorgeous projects and leave them some blog love!

Love this is a perfect sentiment as I LOVE THIS! Beautiful flowers, Nance, and the background is awesome! I have a few twinkling h2o but have never tried them. I need to get on the ball with that.

Love that you CASEd yourself for this challenge! While I find your original card perfectly gorgeous, this new take really has captured my attention! The background you've created is just right for that lovely pink and red bouquet. The heart and tulle beneath that sweet banner finish off your card so well. Very pretty card! Bev

This is gorgeous! Love the backdrop you created for the beautiful flowers. I have some long neglected Twinkling H2Os somewhere. Maybe I should pull them out again . . .
