CAS Christmas - Bird Reminder

Happy Wednesday!

We are halfway through October now - WOW!

Today is also Reminder day
at
CAS Christmas Challenge!

Susan is our hostess this month
and
 the theme is Bird!

We have a second round of inspiration for you today.

I've had this tree emboss folder for years and rarely have used it and thought it would be perfect for some tiny pink birds as a Christmas card.  I embossed it on the smooth side of watercolor paper.  Then I used a Zig marker and water brush to create a subtle winter sky behind the tree.  I sketched a horizon at the base. The birds were cut from inked cardstock using Rose Petal dye ink.  I applied versamark then Heat & Stick to the ground and then applied glitter to create snow on the ground.  I did the same to a few random spots on the tree including some of the trunk.  The photo doesn't show it well.  I stamped the sentiment in Stone Blue dye ink to finish off the card.

Stop by the CAS Christmas Card blog and check out the rest of the team's beautiful 2nd round projects.  Then, come play along with us adding to your Christmas cards, just remember to keep it CAS.  You have until October 24th to play along.

Card Supplies:
Stamps: Sentiment - Hero Arts.
Paper: Watercolor paper (Tim Holtz); White cardstock (Neenah 110 lb).
Ink: Rose Petal and Stone Blue (Catherine Pooler Inks); Versamark ink; Shadow Mauve (Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker).
Extras: Tree Emboss Folder (Cuttlebug); Bird die (Poppy Stamps); Glitter (Tim Holtz); Water brush (Tim Holtz).
CAS Christmas Blessings!
