Paper Sweeties August 2016 New Release Sneak Peeks

Sunday, August 14, 2016

Happy Sunday!

It's Paper Sweeties Sneak Peek day for our August Release of new stamps and dies!

Hop along and see what all the Design Team has created using our newest stamps and dies.

Nancy Salkeld (You are HERE!)

I decided to continue the birthday theme for the Release Sneak Peek today.  I took the cake sweet cuts from the Happy Cake Day Sweet Cuts and used a technique by Kristie Goulet.  I cut the cake out of masking paper and then stuck the negative of the die on top of some cardstock.  Next I stamped the sentiments in Versamark and embossed with white powder.  Then I sponged distress inks over the embossed sentiments.

The "tag" is one of this month's new sweet cuts, it's really a window, but I used it as a tag here.  I flicked watercolor paint on the "tag" before I cut out the cake die.  I added the scallop sweet cut, from Sweet Borders Sweet Cuts, on the bottom.
I also stuck with the colors in our Inspiration Challenge this month.

Don't forget our Inspiration Challenge is still going on until the end of the month!  Check it out and join in.  You might be our next winner and this month, being Paper Sweeties' 4th Birthday the winner of our monthly challenge will get a very sa-weet prized --- $100 gift certificate to the Paper Sweeties Shop!

Be sure and come back tomorrow, I have a little surprise for you tomorrow, you won't want to miss it!

What a great idea you had water colouring the back of your cake die cut. Looks fabulous and so too the rest of the card. Lovely full on birthday card Nancy. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls this week.
